Born in the midwest, Jamie was exposed to many different kinds of music, which gave him a wide range of influences. His dad having a band that played oldies and cover songs gave him a great appreciation for many of the artists who shaped the last century. Sam Cooke, Dean Martin, Hank Williams Sr., Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jim Croce, Stevie Wonder and more.

Grounded in what gave that music it's soul and connection, Jamie also gravitated toward newer artists' more organic and open expression - contemporaries like Jason Mraz, Bruno Mars, Jack Johnson, Ed Sheeran, Christina Aguilera, Michael Buble’ and Adam Levine. That mix of influences allows him to use the best of both worlds to craft a sound, an emotion, and a true experience with his music that audiences of all ages can feel and identify with. He blends all of these styles into his own original music, as well as his own arrangements of the cover songs performed in his shows.

In Jamie's hands, great songs like the sensually-charged "I'm On Fire," the soft yet tense "Georgia On My Mind," the beach-flavored "Fools Fall In Love," to the roots rock of songs like "Folsom Prison Blues," all fit amazingly well alongside his originals like the wedding ballad "You Are My Life," the sexy smoothness of "Beautiful Is You," "Love The World Away," and the sad and listener-mirroring "Nothing Good About Goodbye".
